I feel the need to visit the land of finished objects. Unfortunately, I haven't finished anything in a while. Therefore, I have once again cast on some ballband dishcloths. I have decided that dishcloths are a sensible and satisfying thing to knit: They are not too complicated for car/work knitting and I can complete one in just a few days of commuting. I suppose I will be displaying pictures of dishcloths on this blog shortly.
Dishcloths won't hold me for long, though. So, I am toying with a new plan. I think I am going to join a few knit-alongs and rotate through the projects. That should stave off boredom as well as provide more blog fodder. I found an Icarus knitalong yesterday which I think I may try to join, and I believe there is a Mason-Dixon knit-along out there as well--the dishcloths would qualify me for that one. These knit-alongs, together with the FLAK knit-along, will hopefully provide me with enough variety in my knit-life.
Meanwhile, I suppose I need to nail down what I plan to knit for my One Skein pal. I would brainstorm on the way home, but instead I'm going to go buy a pool. Yes, an above-ground pool, but in-ground would require blasting in our area. I'm looking forward to the opportunity to actually spend time outdoors without getting heatstroke. Yay pool!
